Intern Spotlight - Jaden Koehler

Meet Jaden Koehler! This summer Jaden is a grain operations intern located in Exeter, NE.

Where are you from?
I am from York, NE.

Where do you go to school and what are you studying?
I go to the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and I am studying Agribusiness.

Why did you choose to be an intern with Farmers Cooperative?
I chose to be an intern with Farmers Cooperative because I knew they had a strong business going. I had heard really good things from some of my peers who had previously went through the internship program and had really good things to say about it. And it's providing me with good hands-on information and knowledge that I can use in my future. 

What are some of your day-to-day activities?
Some of my day-to-day activities include loading trucks, loading trains, learning how to run equipment at the elevator, learning how to blend corn off, housekeeping, and preventative maintenance. 

What is one thing that you've learned so far this summer?
Learning how to run an elevator. It's probably been the biggest thing that I've learned and the most beneficial.

What has been your favorite part of your internship thus far?
The diversity of what day-to-day goes like no day is ever the same. I'm never doing the same thing repeatedly and really enjoy that aspect and that I get to learn many different sides of things.

What is a fun fact about yourself?
I love being at the lake.

What would be your dream job, or what is a job you plan on pursuing post-graduation?
I'd like to be the CEO of a cooperative someday.
